Registering for Free Samples and Coupons Really Pays Off!

I tell you all about free samples and coupons by mail all the time and I often get questions asking me if it's worth taking the time to fill out the forms.  Although it's certainly a matter of opinion, I would have to vote a resounding "YES"!  It takes at most 1 minute to fill out your name and address to get a sample and/or coupon, and the value you get in return is typically at least $1.00.  Mulitply that by an hour and you get $60.00 an hour - pretty good if you ask me!

I was looking at my little pile of goodies from this week and here's what I have received in the mail in the last 7 days:

Uniball pen - see my post about the giveaway here

Coupon for a free item at Bath & Body Works - sign up for their email club here (scroll all the way to the bottom right hand side)

$1.00/1 Tide from P&G Brand Sampler register here

$1.00/1 Puffs register here

Coupon for a free bottle of Excedrin - enter here (I registered for this coupon only 6 days ago and the coupon is already here!)

Con Agra coupon book valued at $17.00 - register here

Coupon for a free Yoplait frozen smoothie - Psst by General Mills join here

10 x $1.25/1 Yoplait frozen smoothie coupon  - Psst by General Mills join here

Here's a breakdown:

If I spent an average of 1 minute registering for each thing, then I spent a total of 8 minutes.  The total value of all coupons and products received is $55.48 for a total of $6.94 PER MINUTE of my time.  I think that's worth it, don't you?
