Kroger Deal - FREE Movie Ticket, Ringtones, or Songs

I get excited when I can tell people how to save money and boy oh boy, can I tell you how to save MONEY!!

Kroger has just rolled out a special deal for Houston area Kroger stores.  **Correction: this is for ALL stores within the Kroger family - check to see if yours is included!!** If you buy 10 participating items, you'll receive a catalina coupon code that you can redeem for either a free movie ticket, 15 free music downloads, or 15 free ringtones!  This deal may sound okay, but let me tell you - you'll want to do this deal over and over again!  Here's how it works:

1. Buy 10 participating items.  This deal is UNLIMITED, meaning you can buy 1,000 items if you want and you'll get 100 codes!  Each catalina coupon will print up to five codes per coupon.  If you purchased more than 50 items you'll get another catalina with more codes, so don't panic if you didn't get all your codes on one coupon.

2. Go to digitalchoicerewards.com  and enter your reward code from the catalina coupon you received at checkout.  This is mine (I already redeemed the code!):

3. Choose one of these options: 1) free movie ticket, 2) 15 free ringtones, or 3) 15 free songs.  You'll be able to get information on each option before you make your choice, so don't worry.  I looked up which theaters were included in this deal, and the theater just 2 miles from my house is on the list - yeah!!

4. I'm not sure how the ringtones and songs work, but I chose the movie ticket and was given a redemption code and a link to another web address.  From here I entered my code and was prompted to print my certificate:

Now all I have to do is present this certificate to get into any movie I want - even the 3D premium events!  WOO-HOO!  Hubby and I are going on a date tomorrow, so don't expect any posts tomorrow night.  ;o)  You MUST print your certificate within 72 hours of redeeming the movie code (not to be confused with the code on the catalina), but you have until June 21st to use the movie certificate above.

Here's the BEST part: all the participating items are on SALE!  I spent 1 1/2 hours at Kroger this morning trying to figure out how to make this work the best, and you can literally walk out spending $5.00, get 10 items, AND your free movie, ringtones, or songs.  To break this down a little better:

Movie ticket (standard evening price) - $9.50

iTunes song - $.99 - $1.29 x 15 = $14.85 - $19.35

iTunes ringtone - $.99 - $1.29 x 5 = $14.85 - $19.35

At minimum, this deal will save you $9.50 and up to $19.25!
