It's Girl Scout Cookie Time!

Well, it's Girl Scout cookie time again!  Our troop just placed orders for all the boxes our second graders sold, and when the cookies come in next month we'll be delivering cookies and selling at the cookie booths.

If you're wondering why I'm postng this it's because I want to stress how important Girl Scout cookies sales is to the girls, the individual troops, and the entire Girl Scout organization.

Selling cookies not only raises funds for the girls to plan activites, crafts, and parties, but it also teaches them how to work for a common goal.  We always strive to teach our children the fundamentals of adulthood, and the cookie sale is a way to help them learn essential work ethic.

So PLEASE, please - buy a box or two from a Girl Scout when they come knocking at your door or when you see their cute little faces at the grocery store cookie booth.  You'll be helping a future woman learn how to make her way in the world!
