Recipe: Cream Cheese Squares




2 3 oz. packages of cream cheese
2 cups sugar, divided
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 cans crescent rolls
1 stick butter
1 tsp. cinnamon

Beat cream cheese, 1 1/2 cups sugar and vanilla until creamy. Unroll one can of rolls into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Spread with cheese mixture. Unroll second can of rolls on top. Melt butter and pour over top. Combine remaining 1/2 cup of sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over top. Bake at 350 degrees 25 - 30 minutes or until browned. Cool; cut into squares. Store in refrigerator. Yield: 24 squares.

(Flavoring may be added to cream cheese mixture)


This recipe came from my grandma Vonn, thanks grandma! I'll be making these this coming week using the cream cheese and crescent rolls I got on sale!
