Sales Ads Are Out Today

Today is Wednesday which means all the grocery store ads have come out.  I don't have my paper copies yet, but I glanced at the ads online and I have to say I'm not tickled, but Randalls has some good prices on juice this week.

You have to buy selected juices in quantities of five to get an instant $5.00 rebate.   The juice is sale priced at $2.29 - $2.99, which will make the juice $1.29-$1.99 after instant rebate.  Some of the participating juice brands are:

Stouffer's and Stouffer's Lean Cuisine meals are 5/$10.00.  Pair them with the $1.00/5 coupon from SS 5/2 to get them for $1.80 each.

Buy any 4 participating P&G products and get a $4 instant rebate.  Not sure how many products are involved in this promotion, but I can see Charmin, Febreeze, Tide , and Downy so far....the new P&G ad came out last Sunday 5/2, so you should be able to get some good deals with the coupons and promotion.

Randalls Double Coupons

My friend Sonia and I were discussing the Randalls deals yesterday and I realized I needed to clearify a few things for my readers.

1. Randalls will double coupons valued $.40-$.50. 

2. Randalls will triple coupons valued up to $.39.

3. They will double or triple only ONE of each coupon (i.e. you have three $.40 coupons for granola bars - they'll double one, and the other two are face value).

4. Here's the caveat: if you use the same value coupon on the same item but from another source, they will double or triple ALL of them.  Here's an example: if you print one coupon for $.40 off granola bars from coupons.com, one from smartsource.com, and one from redplum.com, all of them will double because they all have differnt source codes (part of the barcode).  They will NOT double both coupons in one visit that you print from coupons.com because although they have a different barcode in one area, the source code is the same.  Here's a better example:

5. Randalls often has in ad coupons for great deals on certain items.  You CAN use a manufacturers coupon with these deals!  For example: roughly 2 weeks ago they had mission tortillas for $.99 w/ in ad coupon.  I used my $.75/1 coupons from the newspaper and I got my tortillas for $.24 each!

6. I was told by the customer service manager at my store that they will price adjust for up to three doubles per coupon if you ask at customer service.  I haven't done this yet, but you can try it if you want!

The most important thing to note is that the $10 coupon is a catalina coupon, which means you can ROLL IT OVER and use the catalina to buy more products that will generate ANOTHER $10 catalina!  For instance: do deal #1, take your $10 catalina to do deal #2, for a total out of pocket for both deals of just $34.87 ($21.99 for deal 1 and $12.88 for deal 2).  Once you factor in the $10.00 catalina that prints for deal #2, you get all 10 super-valuable items for just $2.49 each!

The key to any deal like this is to buy as many smaller items that have coupons as possible.  For instance, in deal #1 you buy 7 items to get to $25 and in deal #2 you only get 3 items.  The coupons reduce your out of pocket, which translates into better deals when you factor the rolling catalina.

I only gave examples of the Pillsbury deal using printable coupons, but there are always TONS of great Pillsbury coupons in the newspaper ads.  All Pillsbury refrigerated products are included in the catalina deal so you can mix and match to meet your needs.  Just remember these important things:

1. Only one coupon of the same type can double (i.e. if you have 2 x $.50/2 coupons, you'll end up saving $1.50 total, NOT $2.00 total).  You can, however, use 2 x $.50/2 coupons from different newspaper ads or printable coupons with different barcodes and BOTH will double.

2. If possible, buy items that are the lowest price.  Since the catalina print when 6 items are purchased, it makes sense to buy as cheap as you can to end up with free stuff.

3. Stop by customer service on your way out and THANK THEM for making these great coupon booklets available!  :o)
