Meet Emalee Rausch. She lost her newborn son Kenner Jackson who was born 18 weeks too soon, just 2 hours and 10 minutes after he was born. She orginally started a blog about pregnancy and such, and has since transformed the blog into a resource for those who have lost children.
Emalee is about to walk in a March of Dimes for Babies 3 mile walk on May 1, 2010. She is trying to raise funds for research to help prevent premature births and to help those who are born too early. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE donate to this cause if you can! You can use either a credit/debit card or paypal - your choice. Any amount will help, so please don't feel your contribution is insignificant. I have provided links to her website, I am Me, and from there she will direct you to the March of Dimes donation page.
I have had many days where I just didn't feel like getting up - days where I've agonized over too-short paychecks, a dreaded deadline, and any number of other life issues we all face at one time or another. Then I stumbled across this woman's story and I've realized life isn't so bad. Jobs will come and go, tears will ebb and flow, but as long as I have my family and my health, everything will be all right in the end.
Thank God for your blessings, and keep those like Emalee in your prayers tonight.
