The Focus of This Blog is Changing!

I have labored and agonized over this blog for the last several weeks and have come to some tough decisions during my 4 day "break".  Here's what will happen:

1. Since I was literally spending about 5 hours EVERY DAY on posting sales ads, deals, and such, I have decided that I will no longer be posting complete sales ads.  I will highlight special/exceptional deals and will direct you to other blogs that do post the whole ad (if I find a complete one).   There are some great resources available out there and I'd like to share them with you all.

2. I will continue to tell you about free samples and printable coupons.  This may be every day, or it may be every few days. 

3.  I will continue to tell you about deals at local stores or Facebook fan deals.

4.  I have had a lot of people interested in freezer cooking, gardening, and other home improvement projects I've been doing.  I will keep posting about these things as well.

Basically, my purpose for restructuring this blog is to allow me to release some of the pressure I've been feeling and to allow more time for family and personal projects.  When I start something I like to give it my ALL, and I realized I have just been giving a little too much to this site rather than to myself and my family.  We all know how important family is, so please understand my feelings.

I started this as a resource for other families interested in saving money and using coupons.  I wanted to share tips and strategies, but I didn't realize how much time it would take to put it all on "paper".  Soooo, although I'll still be posting about good deals, I've decided to post about how I save money by doing all sorts of DIY projects, using coupons, growing my own produce, and hand making many of the things people usually buy.  Having a family of 7 is expensive, so I'd like to share how we've managed to live a decent life throughout the years.

I really, REALLY enjoy reader interaction, so PLEASE feel free to leave comments, send me pictures (I'll post them!), or send me links to your blog that may relate to a discussion/post of mine.

I will make it my mission to post at least something every single day - whether it be a deal idea, a look at my garden, or a look at my current reading list.  I believe positive interaction is the key to mental health, so let's make a pledge to eachother to build a strong dialog among our community of young families.
